This is the latest news on Conficker activity:
In recent days, there have been
multiple reports of scam artists
popping up on the Internet offering to
help remove the Conficker virus from the
hard drives of a skittish public.
They’re buying domain names, often ones
that include the Conficker name (a
growing list is maintained
here) and putting up pages that
mimic real security-software maker
sites.
The
Conficker
worm,
believed to
have
burrowed
into
millions of
computers
around the
world, has
sent an
encrypted
data message
to infected
machines,
according to
a computer
security
firm.
